You've probably noticed that things have been quiet here for the past week or so. Don't worry, we're not disappearing or fading out. We've actually been pretty busy with our own lives in a strange coincidental way.
If you're curious, here's a rundown of what has been keeping us away from the blog (and the game tables) as well as a short list of what we're planning for the coming weeks.
Our Personal Projects
- Brennen Reece is participating in NaNoWriMo and has been chronicling his progress over on his personal blog.
- m.s. jackson has just returned from Iraq and is busy reuniting with his family, purchasing a home, and preparring to move half way across the country to his duty station.
- Rob is wrapped up with one of his degree classes currently. It is a systems design and implementation class, so he's having to build a full system in eight weeks from the ground up, which doesn't leave a lot of time for hobbies.
- R.K. Athey has been busy with some additional development work in the evenings, neglecting his fiction writing endeavors and his pet project, the Savage Worlds framework for MapTool.
- Kristian has been busy with miscellaneous home projects (finally got the living room painted), going to the gym, working on a writing project of his own, and spending what little free time he has left over with his immediate and extended family.
Upcoming Content
We're not completely on hiatus. We've got a few irons in the fire for the coming weeks.
- I have an editorial in the works that will probably be posted tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.
- R.K. Athey has some new fiction ready that's waiting for some editing.
- Sitting on the back burner, I’ve got an interview with a popular Savage Worlds licensee who just recently published an setting book based on a classic RPG (I'm waiting for the interviewee to reply to some last questions).
- Brennen has another indie RPG interview pending, this time with Jason Morningstar.
- We also have a couple of reviews from myself and some of the others, one of a really cool Savage Worlds setting, and another of some very attractive gaming accessories.
Beyond these articles, we'll probably be on hiatus until the start of 2010, given the holidays, vacation, and family obligations. Despite the apparent ebbing, keep your fingers on our pulse. The Dice of Life are still kicking!
